Sakarya University Institute of Health Sciences was established with the decision taken at the General Assembly of Higher Education dated 31.03.2011 for the purpose of providing postgraduate education. The first appointed director of our institute, Prof. Dr. Oğuz KARABAY, has served as the director for eight years without interruption. Currently, Prof. Dr. Yusuf YÜRÜMEZ is the Director of the Institute by proxy.
The first student admission to Sakarya University Health Sciences Institute started in the Spring Semester of the 2012-2013 Academic Year, with a Master's program in two Departments and a Doctorate in a Department. Eight Departments and four Sciences were reached in the 2013-2014 academic year. In our institute, education activities are still continuing with 25 programs (5 doctorates, 14 master's with thesis, and 6 master's without thesis) in 16 departments.
