Admission Requirements

In order to apply for the Master’s Program with Thesis, the applicants should:

- Have an undergraduate degree diploma which is found appropriate by the Institute Department (ID) and is accepted by the Institute’s Board of Administration (IBA) (conditions for graduation are announced from our web site during the admission period).

- Obtain a minimum score of 55 in the type of points pertaining to the applied program from the Academic Personnel and Entry to Graduate Education Exam (ALES).  

Achievement evaluation grade in Master’s Program with Thesis student admissions:

- The achievement evaluation grade is determined by taking 50% of the ALES score, 30% of the undergraduate graduation grade, and 20% of the Written Science Exam into consideration. Candidates are ordered according to the above evaluation and the previously announced number of candidates is announced from the Institute web site for enrollment. In case of not filling the contingent, admissions will be carried out according to the order in the substitute list on the announced day and hour.

       In order to apply for the Master’s Program without Thesis, the candidates should have an undergraduate degree diploma which is found appropriate by the ID and is accepted by the IBA.  

Achievement evaluation grade in Master’s Program without Thesis student admissions: It is determined according to the undergraduate graduation grade. The achievement ordering of the candidates applying for the Master’s Program without Thesis is arranged according to undergraduate graduation grades. The previously announced number of candidates is announced from the Institute web site for enrollment. In case of not filling the contingent, admissions will be carried out according to the order in the substitute list on the announced day and hour.

In order to apply for the Doctoral Program;

- the candidates should have a graduate degree diploma which is found appropriate by the ID and is accepted by the IBA (conditions for graduation are announced from our web site during the admission period).

- Obtain a minimum score of 65 in the type of points pertaining to the applied program from the ALES (After completing Graduate education, candidates who apply for the doctoral program within a maximum of “one” semester will be evaluated by multiplying the LES score, which cannot be converted by YÖK, by 1.25),

- Obtain a minimum score of 55 from the ÜDS or equivalent from a foreign language exam that is accepted by the Interuniversity Council.

The achievement evaluation grade in student admissions for the doctoral program: The achievement evaluation grade is determined by taking 50% of the ALES score, 30% of the graduate graduation grade, and 20% of the Scientific Evaluation Exam into consideration.

It is compulsory to take the written and oral exams which will be conducted by the relevant ID Head. Candidates who do not take one of these tests are considered failed. The scientific evaluation exam score is calculated by taking 10% of the written exam score and 10% of the oral exam score. The Scientific Evaluation results are converted to the quadrant system according to the YÖK’s Conversion table. 

In student admissions for the doctoral program, the minimum achievement evaluation score is 2.75. Candidates who have an achievement evaluation score of 2.75 and above are ordered. The previously announced number of candidates is announced from the Institute web site for enrollment. In case of not filling the contingent, admissions will be carried out according to the achievement order in the substitute list on the announced day and hour.
